A pier, coastal activity park and lots more
Boscombe beach is one of Bournemouth's most popular beach areas. It is home to its own pier and has a distinct feel from central Bournemouth.
The pier is free to enter and there is a range of interactive musical games to play. There is also a fish-friendly crazy golf course on the pier. The golf balls end up in the sea and are made of fish food!
On the beach to the east of the pier you'll find giant climbing rocks. Good for all ages, these rocks are modelled on famous landmarks such as Durdle Door.
The Overstrand building has a lifeguard and RNLI station and beach office. There are beach huts and beach pods to hire.
Lifeguards operate daily on this beach from 29 April to 1 October 2017. Patrols are on 10am - 6pm
