Large family friendly beach, Blue Flag awarded
Sandbanks Beach is a popular beach at the far west end of the bay. You enjoy the finest quality golden sand here.
The beach gradually slopes in to the sea so is well suited to all the family.
There is a wide selection of activities at Sandbanks Beach including, crazy golf/putting, a beach shop, a range of watersports including windsurfing, sailing and paddle boats. There is a seafront cafe and other food outlets are situated along the promenade.

There is a dog beach area at the western end of Sandbanks Beach to Haven Point (by the chain ferry). Dogs are not allowed on the rest of Sandbanks Beach during the summer season, from 1 May to 30 September. Dogs should be kept on a lead on the promenade.
You can cycle on the prom but there are restrictions in place during July and August. Look out for time and speed restrictions to avoid on-the-spot fines.
There is a designated area for barbecues at the western end of Sandbanks beach. Barbecues can be held on any of Poole beaches, but read the beach barbecue and parties guide before setting off.
